Efectos del trabajo emocional en el agotamiento y la satisfacción laboral de los trabajadores en España

Resum

La dimensió emocional es va incorporar a l’estudi de les organitzacions laborals fa més de tres dècades amb la recerca pionera d’Arlie Hochschild, on s’analitza l’impacte (negatiu) del treball emocional en la salut i el benestar dels treballadors. L’emotional labor emfatitza l’aspecte relacional en el lloc de treball, ja que es basa en el maneig dels sentiments per part del treballador com a imperatiu en els processos d’interacció amb els altres. Aquesta nova demanda laboral exerceix un paper important en l’esgotament i la satisfacció en la feina, però és un camp encara poc explorat. La investigació que presentem pretén enriquir aquesta àrea d’estudi a través d’un doble objectiu. D’una banda, operacionalitzem el treball emocional com a concepte multidimensional a través de la construcció d’un índex de demanda emocional que engloba la interacció, la gestió emocional i les regles de visualització (Wharton, 2009), i, de l’altra, n’analitzem la influència en la satisfacció laboral i l’esgotament de la població treballadora a Espanya utilitzant com a variables de control l’autonomia i la intensitat del treball. La metodologia emprada és de naturalesa quantitativa i les dades s’obtenen de l’European Working Conditions Survey (2015). Els resultats mostren que la demanda emocional influeix negativament en les variables de benestar.
