Abstract

The use of administrative registers as a source of information for geostatistical analyses has developed increasingly in re¬cent years. Data management systems now allow a very precise exploitation of the information. This is the concept of public information re-use of. In this experimental statistical project, Real Estate Cadastre in¬formation is processed in order to identify buildings, dwellings and premises, as well as their characteristics. The information is integrated into the cells of the 250 m side grid developed by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia following Eurostat guidelines for this type of work. This article describes the tasks carried out for the identification of dwellings in Anda¬lusia from Cadastre information, as well as the results obtained and their integration in grid cells. This spatial unit enables analysis and integration of information from differ¬ent sources, I.e: distribution of dwellings, distribution of the population in the ter¬ritory, as well as other types of statistical activities.
