In recent years, our world has been characterized by continuous changes in the field of economics and companies environment. The progress of IT’s is becoming a key element to boost entrepreneurial ecosystems (Cabello y González, 2018). Being part of the changes, this IT’s boom offers a new impetus to entrepreneurship and allows the development of new innovative and creative processes which leads to the improvement and optimization of ressources in such a way that the new digital tools are easily accessible to develop and innovate economic models. This thesis tries to determine: If the use of IT’s promotes entrepreneurship What technological tools are being used to achieve this The factors that can boost this dynamics In order to achieve this goal, several methodologies have been used in the different research works. In the first one, entrepreneurial competencies are explored through an entrepreneurial self-assessment web platform. Its aim is to identify the characteritics, compentencies, skills and behaviours that entrepreneurs have through the analysis of surveys (n=1,547) collected between 2018-2019 In the second work, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) has been carried out through a bibliometric analysis to observe the connection between the evolution of entrepreneurship and the use of technologies in the period 2017-2021. The third work identifies how Virtual Reality (VR) applied to tourism in rural areas can help to favour digital entrepreneurship in natural parks as boosters of sustainable development. It has been done through a SLR from 2018 to 2022 and an empirical research (survey, n=455). In the fourth, a survey (n=331), has been made in 2022 through a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to study the factors affecting entrepreneurship due to the use of e-learning tools. In addition to the contribution in terms of content, this thesis provides theorical basis, empirical increases and quantitative-based knowledge.
