This work provides an approximation to the modification of the basic legal regime of the configuration of negotiable securities to allow their representation also using the so-called distributed registry technology. The study is based on European Regulations (2022/858 on a pilot regime for market infrastructures based on distributed ledger technology, and 2023/1114 on crypto-asset markets), and focuses on issuance, but above all on the legitimation regime contained in Law 6/2023, of March 17, on Securities Markets and Investment Services.
