Resumo

Power can bring to those who hold it a sure disease that occurs especially in people who are already narcissistic, we are facing the Hubris Syndrome. It is true, in many cases, that assertion that we have often had the opportunity to hear: power poisons and corrupts people. Well yes, it enters the body as if it were asbestos and produces cancer, but moral cancer. The Hubris syndrome comes to produce a pathology in the personality, a pathology in the psyche of a person, who will be executioner and victim at the same time, this affectation will be more serious in direct order to the pride that the character in question can show and to his degree of narcissism. This is the reason why presidential positions in any area (political, business, collegial, etc.) are limited to four or five years, trying to prevent re-election from reaching a person who holds the position for eight years in a row. The long-term exposure of a certain individual to power and the sensation of omnipotence ends up producing in the individual, especially if there is something left over from himself, the so-called Hubril Syndrome.
