Abstract

It has been determined to establish the principle of the profession of social workers in the Anglo-Saxon environment and in the 19th century, but this thesis is wrong. We'll see why.This paper aims to demonstrate that the origins of a charity synonymous with Social Work lie in the work carried out at the Catalina de Ribera y Mendoza hospital foundation: the Hospital de las Cinco Llagas in Seville, with a founding bull from the year 1500.
