Abstract

Migration is a phenomenon that generates development in societies and their inhabitants. Likewise, health is a precept of life, understood as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. From this Doctoral Thesis, it is intended to study migration, in its relationship with health and disability. The objectives are: the creation of tools for the identification and classification of pathologies in migrants. And to know the perception that migrants have about their quality of life, psychological and social health. Through a mixed methodology (qualitative and quantitative techniques). The main findings show the presence of pathologies and disability in the migrant population. In addition, it identifies the lack of health control and treatment in migrants. Concluding that it is necessary to increase the study of the phenomenon of migrants and their health, which serves as a basis for the design of social policies.
