Resumen
This paper will seek to investigate and assess how and to which extent the Irish established in the Spanish Caribbean during the eighteenth century. Analysis will focus on the migratory networks which were developed by the Irishmen and Irishwomen who decided to leave from Ireland and from the Iberian Peninsula. The paper will shed light on the less known migrants and whether and how they adapted to the colonial society of the Spanish Caribbean, and more broadly of the Iberian Atlantic.
