Abstract

The ETEA Foundation for Development and Cooperation was created more than 20 years ago, with the aim of giving more autonomy to all the development cooperation activities that had been carried out by ETEA, the institution from which Loyola Andalucía University emerged in 2012. The ETEA Foundation has thus become a differential entity in university development cooperation in Spain. Thus, if at the beginning its activity was oriented towards training, cooperation in the field, research and education for development, its evolution has led it to adapt to the changing circumstances of international cooperation, and to the institutional transformations of the then ETEA and the current Loyola Andalucía University. Today the ETEA Foundation is the Institute for Development of the University, thus expressing its commitment to development, as well as the prioritisation of research in the work of the ETEA Foundation, always linked to the search for structural transformations that generate human and integral, solidary, inclusive and sustainable development.
