Abstract

Different international organizations express the importance of designing policies and sus-tainable transportation systems, recognizing that women and men have different mobility needs and habits due to social, economic, and cultural factors. The objective of this article is to analyze the sus-tainable mobility policies to see how these policies incorporate gender perspective, whether they do so in an articulated manner, and to observe whether the available sources of information allow the elaboration of diagnosis with this perspective. Through the content analysis of various documents at distinct administrative levels, it has been possible to verify that the policies seem to be still at a start-ing point, requiring effective referents in local planning for the integration of the gender perspective.
