Resumen

The objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of a cash transfer pilot, granted by the National Council of People with Disabilities in times of Covid-19 to women who provide support to people with disabilities. An experimental impact evaluation was conducted with randomly assigned treatment and control groups. Methodological triangulation was used to determine the effects of the transfer. This article concludes that the transfer is used more as a subsidy to poverty than as a support to care. It does not improve conditions in terms of care insurance and training. Nor does it free up women’s time, limiting their possibilities for study or training. In the absence of dialogue with other public policies, this transfer only allows them to carry out their daily tasks with less burnout but does not enable them to enter the formal labor market.
