I am an evolutionary ecologist with a research interest in the study of insect-plant interactions (herbivory, pollination and dispersal), plant reproductive biology (sexual and breeding systems, flowering and germination) and plant micro- and macroevolution. Currently, my research focuses on evolutionary and ecological aspects of flower color, including biochemical and molecular basis of color variation, flower color as a signaling for pollinators, abiotic factors affecting flower color, and maintenance of flower color polymorphism.
