Doctor by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with the thesis Mecanismos del cambio ideológico e introducción de políticas de género en partidos conservadores el caso de AP-PP en España en perspectiva comparada 2002. Supervised by Dr. José Ramón Montero Gibert.
Antonia María Ruiz Jiménez (Málaga, 1971) obtained her Ph D. in Political Science and Administration by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2002. She is an Associate Professor / Reader in Sociology at Pablo de Olavide University. Her current research interests include national and gender identities, gender and nationalism (nativism, demographic nationalism, etc), political parties (including party manifestos analysis) and political attitudes and behaviour Antonia María Ruiz Jiménez is currently the Scientific Coordinator an RIA project in the Horizon Europe program: UNTWIST (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101060836). She has been Scientific Coordinator of a senior Marie Curie Action (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/621761/es) within FP7, and the PI of other projects financed under the Spanish national I+D+I framework programs as well as several Spanish regional administrations. Antonia María Ruiz Jiménez is also the Academic Responsible for the Research Group DEMOSPAIN (SEJ-598), and a member of CINEF (Interdisciplinary Center for the Feminist, Women and Gender Studies) at UPO ((https://www.upo.es/cinef/).
