Abstract

The present descriptive study analyses teaching models and strategies underlying online university courses. It has been divided into four stages. The first stage reviews the relevant literature regarding pedagogic online material assessment. The second carries out two Delphi studies for the creation of an analysis tool, the ADECUR (pedagogical analysis of online higher education teaching models and strategies). The third describes the tool. The last one consists on the application of the tool, through an analysis of online mécourses (n=31), as well as an evaluation of the course by expert assessment (without recourse to the tool) in order to check for agreement. On the other hand, the tool used for the study has a further potential for the analysis and assessment of the pedagogical grounding present in any higher education training course, thus enhancing the assessing culture of Europe as regards the standards of online training pedagogical materials.
