Abstract
The adaptation of the subjects to the European Higher Education has brought a revolution in teaching methods and the roles of teachers and students, leading to a model where the teacher is defined as a catalyst and the student as the protagonist of the process of teaching and learning. All framed in skills training that leads teachers to rethink their methodological approaches to achieve the established learning outcomes. This article reports the educational innovation that has developed in the course “Mediation and Conflict in Social Education”, Social Education Grade in the academic year 2012/2013 at the Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain). Our primary goal was to engage students through active teaching methods, culminating in the collaborative construction of knowledge.
