Revisión del efecto del entrenamiento de alta intensidad sobre el rendimiento físico en futbolistas

Objetivos de desarrollo sostenible

Resumen

En los últimos años ha surgido un especial interés en la aplicación de High-Intensity Interval Training (HIT) en las distintas modalidades deportivas. El objeto de este estudio fue revisar sistemáticamente estudios sobre el entrenamiento interválico de alta intensidad y su efecto sobre el rendimiento físico en el futbolista de alto nivel. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática a través de comandos de búsqueda en 4 bases de datos: PUBMED, SCOPUS, SPORTDISCUS y DIALNET. Se estipularon 5 criterios de inclusión: temática acotada del trabajo, actualización, indexación, idioma, grado de profesionalización del contexto deportivo. Un total de 17 estudios de los 243 iniciales resultaron de la revisión. Los datos obtenidos indicaron que la aplicación del entrenamiento interválico de alta intensidad produce efectos positivos en el rendimiento físico de los futbolistas de alto nivel en 14 de las 17 investigaciones. El VO2máx. es el indicador de rendimiento seleccionado en la mayoría de trabajos. HIT, SIT y juegos reducidos son los medios de entrenamiento más utilizados. La duración de los entrenamientos osciló entre los 10 días y 12 semanas. Tras la revisión, se puede concluir que el entrenamiento interválico de alta intensidad se postula como un medio de preparación pertinente para las demandas fisiológicas del futbolista.
