Résumé

Our aim in this study is to analyse the translation of the interjections in the Arabic versions of Bodas de sangre, by F. García Lorca. We first study the pragmatic functions of these linguistic units. Due to its semantic imprecision and privative character in each language, its translation can become a complex task. For its efficient transfer, the translator must determine its precise meaning in the text, trying to find another interjection with a similar value in the target language. Otherwise, it would be advisable to use noninterjective elements. Analysing its translation in the five Arabic versions of Bodas de sangre, it is striking the strong trend registered in favour of its transfer using interjective elements. However, we have been able to verify the existence of a proportional relationship between the extracategorial translation of the interjection and the creation of a similar effect in the original and translated texts. The freedom with which the translator can act allows him to use other expressions that can transmit similar values to those behaved in the original text. Because of this, the versions of Mu’nis and Badawī, which less frequently apply the intracategorial translation, are the ones that best reflect the content of the interjections used in the object text.
