Abstract
In this paper it is reviewed the main historical events in the classical conditioning theory like a psychological phenomenon ¿behavioral or cognitive¿, that is to say since a molar perspective, opposed to a molecular perspective characteristical of neurosciences. It is analyzed the fallowing historical highlights: the Wladimir Bechterev¿s reflexological theory, the radical behaviorist perspective (by B. F. Skinner), the Rescorla-Wagner model (Rescorla & Wagner, 1972), the attentional models (Mackintosh, 1975; Pearce & Hall, 1980); theories by Allan Wagner (1981; Wagner & Brandon, 1989) based on opponent processes, and finally the theories based on behavioral timing (Gallistel & Gibbon, 2002)
