Abstract
A comprehensive review was carried out about the importance of lead content in human feeding, and particularly on lead content in edible wild mushrooms. The work presents data on content of lead in 165 species included in half a hundred of publications, referring to their presence and consumption in Spain and Andalucía. Furthermore, information about recommendations and legislation relative to lead in human nutrition and edible mushrooms is reported.
