Abstract

eSports competitions are a growing phenomenon from which conflict can arise between those who take part in them, both nationally and internationally. Most of the differences between publishers, organizers, players and teams are resolved by negotiation or before judicial bodies; however, arbitration is considered the most interesting option for the resolution of a large part of such conflicts and, as proof of this, there are several arbitration institutions and regulations created ad hoc, although all of them present certain dysfunctions that must be overcome in order to establish itself as the preferred option for stakeholders, especially in international disputes.
