El Grupo de Investigación pretende dar respuesta a las diferentes inquietudes investigadoras de los diferentes campos de actuación del área de Educación Física y Deportes, mediante trabajos relacionados con ámbitos tan diferentes en su inicio, como las investigaciones de tipo experimental vinculadas con las tecnologías deportivas hasta las de carácter cualitativo y humanistas de la historia de la actividad física y los deportes. Todo tipo de investigación cabría inicialmente en este grupo siempre que tuviera como denominador común su campo de actuación en la educación física y los deportes.
