His research focuses on the analysis of the foreign policy of Spain and the United States within the framework of the scientific discipline of International Relations, paying particular attention to the impact of ideologies on the foreign policy of said countries. In this sense, the systematic study of neoconservatism as a political movement and ideological system has been one of its priorities and has given rise to various scientific publications, among which two monographs and a series of book chapters and articles in high-impact scientific journals stand out. . The areas of intersection between foreign policy and the theory of International Relations and between foreign policy and Public International Law also constitute a relevant axis of his research activity.
