Resumen

La educación se halla ante el reto de regular cómo implementará nuevas fórmulas formativas basadas en asistentes virtuales, en inteligencia artificial (IA), en aprendizaje automático (o machine learning) y en procesamiento del lenguaje natural. La investigación pretende explicar y entender cómo podrían apoyar a los estudios superiores de grado universitario y al aprendizaje autodirigido las tecnologías basadas en formadores virtuales con IA (FVIA), ya sea invocando a la metáfora conversacional (voz) o a una representación sintética 2D o 3D en entornos de realidades expandidas. Como parte afectada, es requisito conocer la aceptación entre el alumnado. Para una correcta interpretación, se generará una taxonomía a partir del trabajo documental y describiremos qué aportarían como entes formativos complementarios. El dispositivo de investigación se basa en una metodología dual asentada en la teorización a partir de un análisis documental y en un cuestionario estructurado de Likert resuelto por 662 universitarios. Implementamos un sistema mixto sujeto a una interpretación cualitativa y cuantitativa. Con cierto enfoque hermenéutico, la fase de discusión sirve además para debatir la figura del FVIA bajo el prisma del docente convencional. Los resultados corroboran que, aunque este paradigma es percibido como lejano, se aprecia que en un futuro se implantará como un recurso docente de utilidad.
